MEDIA AND PRESS CENTRE

The media centre is the place to obtain more information about the ships, event, sail training and Mariehamn in general.

For the duration of the event in Mariehamn, you will find the media centre at Storagatan 12. The opening hours will be 8 AM to 4 PM.

The media centre is located only 600 meters from the western harbour and our most significant landmark in Mariehamn, the four-masted steel barque Pommern.

Media accreditation

During spring 2024 you will find a link here to an online form where you can apply for accreditation ahead of the event. 

Photos and video

The Sail Training International online photo library has images from past events – from port images and ships at sea, to photos of the young trainees who sailed on them.

For images from Mariehamn and Åland we recommend Visit Åland's media bank.

Our media centre can also provide photo and video materials.

Interviews

We at the media centre will help to arrange meetings to speak to the Race Chairman, Race Director, captains and trainees as well as representatives for the event here in Mariehamn.
